What's on at Elmsleigh

We've got loads of great events happening at the Elmsleigh Shopping Centre for all the family to enjoy.

Get Your School Growing with Elmsleigh Shopping Centre!

Elmsleigh Shopping Centre is launching a campaign to ‘Get Schools Growing‘! Visitors to the shopping centre on Saturday 6 March between 10am and 4pm will find supporters of the campaign - web-based cultivating specialists, Urban Allotments, and the team from local garden centre, Vermeulens - giving out grow-your-own freebies and expert advice, and running FREE activities for children.

‘Get Schools Growing‘ is the third instalment of Elmsleigh‘s ongoing campaign to ‘Get Staines Growing‘, which begun back in 2009 with the aim to educate shoppers on protecting the environment and teach youngsters how to grow their own fruit and veg. This part of the campaign will see local pupils launching crusades to get their own school growing and competing to win a fantastic raised bed allotment and seeds, donated by Urban Allotments, plus gardening equipment and expert advice after the installation from Vermeulens to help the winning school make the most of their brand new vegetable patch.

From Saturday 6 March until Sunday 11 April Buckland Primary School, Kingscroft Junior School, Manorcroft Primary School, Shortwood Infant School, Staines Preparatory School and Stanwell Fields School are all on a mission to win this brilliant prize by getting the most amount of votes at www.getschoolsgrowing.co.uk, so look out for posters, letters, leaflets and children banging down your door to get your vote!

As well as a running tally on the website, The Staines Informer will keep readers updated with how each school is doing in the race for the next five weeks, so register and make your vote count.
